Nope. You don’t need to memorize any special commands. Just talk to ChatNotr like you would to a friend and say what you want. The AI can usually understand your intention, but being a bit precise helps. For example, say “save to my notes,” “create an appointment,” “I have a task,” or “make me a list.” If it ever doesn’t get it, just explain a little more, and it will understand and learn.
Yes. All your notes, tasks, and chats stay on your device. They never leave your phone. The only information stored on our servers is your email and subscription status for checking the validity. Your data is safe and payments are handled securely by Google Play. Your information is also protected when it travels over the internet, using the same strong security that banks and online stores use. Even on public WiFi, sensitive details like passwords or notes are never stored by ChatNotr.
Nope. We don’t read or access your chats or notes. Everything you write stays on your device and remains private. We don’t have a backup function yet because that would require storing your data temporarily online. When we do add backups in future updates, we’ll make sure it can be done without ever seeing or storing your private information.
When you send a message to ChatNotr, OpenAI processes it to understand your intent, so what you type can technically be seen before saving. But your stored notes stay on your device and are not sent to OpenAI. For sensitive info, you can keep it completely private. Instead of typing the actual detail, just say what you want to save (e.g., “save my Gmail password”). When asked for the value, reply “for my eyes only” or “it’s secret.” ChatNotr will open a secure blank form so you can enter it directly — it never goes through the AI.
The AI is just an interpreter — it reads your message and figures out what you want the app to do. The app itself manages your notes, tasks, and reminders, and everything stays on your device. The app doesn’t know how to talk back to humans, and the AI only helps understand your commands; it doesn’t store or access your data.
